Used to define, modify, and delete settings groups. Opens when Edit is chosen from the File menu in the Select Settings window.

Lists the settings groups in the chosen Category that are in the open settings file. To modify, rename, or delete a group, you must first select it.
Determines which category of settings you are editing. Choices are Drawing, Scale and Working Units. When you choose Scale or Working Units, the dialog box changes to show the contents of your units and scales settings file. From here, you can create and edit scales and working units.
Sets the name of the selected group. The maximum valid number of characters is 31.
Lists the name and type of each component in the group. To modify, rename, or delete a component, you must first select it.
Sets the name of the selected component. The maximum valid number of characters is 31.
Opens the Create New Settings File dialog box, which is used to create a settings file. The default directory in which the settings file is created is pointed to by the MS_SETTINGSDIR configuration variable.
Opens the Open Existing Settings File dialog box, which is used to open a settings file. The default directory is pointed to by the MS_SETTINGSDIR configuration variable.
The controls are analogous to those in the Open dialog box, which opens when Open… is chosen from the File menu in the MicroStation window.
Opens the Save Settings File As V7 dialog box, which is used to save the open settings file in the V7 settings file format.
Opens the Save Settings File As V8 dialog box, which is used to save the open settings file in the V8 settings file format.
Imports multi-line styles from the open settings file into the open DGN file.
Imports dimension styles from the open settings file into the open DGN file.
Closes the dialog box.
Adds a new group, named “Unnamed,” to the Group list box.
Adds a new Active Point-type component, named “Unnamed,” to the Components list box.
Adds a new Area Pattern-type component, named “Unnamed,” to the Components list box.
Adds a new Cell-type component, named “Unnamed,” to the Components list box.
Adds a new Dimension-type component, named “Unnamed,” to the Components list box.
Adds a new Linear-type component, named “Unnamed,” to the Components list box.
Adds a new Multi-line-type component, named “Unnamed,” to the Components list box.
Adds a new Text-type component, named “Unnamed,” to the Components list box.
Deletes the selected group from the open settings file or the selected component from the selected group. An alert box opens for confirming the deletion.
Makes a copy of the selected group or component.
Opens a dialog box or dialog box that is used to modify the selected component or the selected scale or working units settings group.
