Dimension Chamfer


Use it!

Used to place a dimension on a chamfer.

Style

Displays the active dimension style. The drop-down list box allows you to select other available dimension styles.

Opens the Dimension Styles dialog box, which is used to control settings for dimensioning.

To dimension a chamfer element
  1. Select the Dimension Chamfer tool.

  2. Identify the chamfer element.
    The name of a dimensioning tool that can be used on the element displays in the status bar.

  3. If you desire a different tool, click Next (or press <Enter>) to display the name of a different tool, until the name of the desired tool displays.

    Cycle Through These Tools

    • Dimension Chamfer X by Y

    • Dimension Chamfer X by Theta

    • Dimension Chamfer Note


  4. Identify a second element from which to measure the chamfer.

  5. Enter a data point to define the extension line length and position the dimension.
