Dimension Styles dialog box

Used to control settings for dimensioning. Opens when Element > Dimension Styles is chosen.

Dimension Style drop-down list box

Displays the active dimension style and stores the style as an attribute of the dimension element. If the dimension style is changed, any dimension with that style also changes to those settings. If the active dimension style is set to (none), the active dimensioning settings are applied.

To change a style to the active dimension style, use the Change Dimension To Active Settings tool.

To see if a dimension has a style, check the Details tab on the Element Information tool.

Category list box

Lists the logical categories into which dimension settings are grouped. Selecting a category causes the appropriate controls to be displayed to the right of the category list.

Descriptions of the controls for setting preferences are organized by Category beginning with Custom Symbols.

Focus Item Description

Shows the description of whichever item in the dialog box has the input focus.
