Used to convert individual files, or entire directories of files, from any of the MicroStation DGN file formats to any other supported format.

Key-in: MDl SILENTLOAD BATCHCONVERT
Opens the Save Batch Convert Job File dialog box, which lets you create a new batch convert job file. Before you can create the job, you must choose the files that will be converted (use Add Files or Directories to Convert, or drag and drop files from Windows Explorer).

The controls are analogous to those in the Open dialog box (File > Open). |
Opens the Open Batch Convert Job File dialog box, which lets you open an existing job file to use for the batch conversion.

Saves the selected items in the Conversion Tasks list to a batch convert job file. If you haven't created this file, the Save Batch Convert Job File dialog box opens to let you create it.

Opens the Select Files and Directories to Convert dialog box. Select the directories or files to be converted, then click Add.

The specifications for the selected directories or files are listed in the Selected File list box. In directory specifications, the presence of the wildcard string “*\” at the end indicates the subdirectories are included.
If you change your mind about a previously selected directory or file, select it in this list box, and click Remove.

If you select directories to convert, you can also convert their subdirectories by picking Include Subdirectories. The processing for this option will be recursive — that is, not only will direct subdirectories be converted, but also all successive levels of subdirectories. |
You can use drag and drop to add files from Windows Explorer to the Conversion Tasks list box. Files that are dragged into the list box are inserted in the list between the rows in which you drop them. Refer to Using Drag and Drop with Batch Conversion for more information. |
Removes files from the list of files and directories to convert. Before you can remove a file, you must highlight it in the Conversion Tasks list.

Opens the Files to Convert dialog box. This dialog box lists the files that will be converted.

Click Convert to start the conversion process.
The Convert button label automatically changes to “Pause,” and the Status column identifies the file being converted. Clicking Pause pauses processing after the current file. The Pause button label changes to “Continue.” Processing never stops in the middle of converting a file.
When processing is complete, the Pause button label changes to “Done.”

If on, only the tasks highlighted in the Conversion Tasks list will be processed in the batch conversion.
Sets the default file format for the output of the conversion.
Identifies the path to the destination directory for the converted files.
Applies changes to Default Output Format and Default Destination to the files highlighted in the Conversion Tasks list.
Lists the files that will be processed during batch conversion. This list also includes the Output Format and Destination selected for each file.
This command is identical to the New Batch Convert Job icon.
This command is identical to the Open Batch Convert Job icon.
This command is identical to the Save Batch Convert Job icon.
Opens the Save Batch Convert Job File dialog box, which lets you save the current batch convert job file under a new name.

This command is identical to the Process Batch Convert Job icon.
Lets you exit the Batch Convert dialog box. You may be prompted to save the items in the Conversion Task list to a batch convert job file.
Key-in: mdl silentload batchconvert exit
This command is identical to the Add Files or Directories to Convert icon.
Adds the active DGN or DWG file to the list of files and directories to convert.
Key-in: mdl silentload batchconvert addactivedgn
This command is identical to the Remove Files icon.
Opens the DWG/DXF Open Options dialog box. When you select a DWG file for batch processing, these settings will be applied.
Opens the Save As DWG/DXF Options dialog box. When you set the Default Output Format to DWG or DXF, these settings will be applied.
Opens the Save As V8 Options dialog box. When you set the Default Output Format to V8, these settings will be applied.
Opens the Save As V7 Options dialog box. When you set the Default Output Format to V7, these settings will be applied.
Opens the Log Files dialog box, which sets options for the log file generated during batch processing.
Moves selected files in the Conversion Tasks list to the top of the list.

When files are sorted in ascending order on the # column, you can click and drag one or more files in the list box to the required location. |
