Introduction

When preparing to print your design, an important consideration is the selection and configuration of the appropriate printer driver. MicroStation includes a directory containing sample printer drivers, "…Workspace\system\plotdrv". This directory contains printer drivers for most popular printers. Typically, you will be able to select a prepared driver that is correctly configured for your printer. It is possible also, that you may discover there is no driver for your printer or that the supplied driver requires modification. In these cases, the information in this section will guide you through the processes available to reconfigure the supplied printer driver to suit your requirements.

Another directory, "…Workspace\sytem\plotdrv\unsupported" contains printer drivers for older, or superseded printers. Printer drivers in this directory still may be used, but are no longer supported.
