Define Drafting Tools Properties


Use it!

Used to set the size, color, style, and weight of the callout, leaders, bubble, and text or title. The Drafting Tools Properties settings window is divided into four group boxes — Callout Polygons, Leaders, Detail Bubble, and Text/Titles. Some of the fields listed below appear in each of the group boxes.

Tool SettingEffect
Size Factor

Sets the enlargement factor for the text displayed in the callout, bubble, or text/title. For example, if the detail bubble scale is 2.5, a bubble is created 2.5 times the current text size.

Width

Sets the width of a leader.

Height

Sets the height of a leader.

Color

Sets the color of a callout, leader, detail bubble, or text/title.

Style

Sets the style of line used for a callout, leader, or detail bubble.

Weight

Sets the weight of the line included in the callout, leader or detail bubble.

Title Weight

Sets the weight of the title.

Text Weight

Sets the weight of the text.

Level

If on, all callouts, detail bubbles, leaders, and text/titles are placed in the specified level. If off, they are placed on the active level.

To define properties
  1. Select the Define Drafting Tools Properties tool.
    The Drafting Tools Properties settings window opens.

  2. Choose the desired size, color, type, and weight characteristics to appear for callouts, detail bubbles, leaders, and text/titles.

Key-in: SET DRAFTING PARAMETERS

Parameters are stored between design sessions in the user preference file (drftools.rsc) located in the MS_DATA directory.
