Record Script dialog box

To record the open script
  1. In the Animation Preview tool box, select the Record Script tool.
The Record Script dialog box opens.

  2. From the View option menu, choose the source view for the animation.

  3. From the Shading option menu, choose Wireframe for “rehearsal” purposes or the desired rendering method for a finished or nearly finished script.

  4. (Optional) Click the Record Image File icon to select a different file name, path, and/or file format for the sequence.

  5. (Optional) Adjust other recording settings as required.

  6. Click the OK button.
The animation file(s) are created. A preview window opens, in which each frame is shown as it is rendered.

If you change the name from the default, you must insert a number at the end of the filename. This number will be incremented for each frame saved. For example, naming the file that contains the first frame of a Targa-format sequence “orbit01.tga” causes the subsequent frame files to be named “orbit02.tga,” “orbit03.tga,” “orbit04.tga,” and so on. In the event of an interruption to the process, you can return later and pick up from the next frame number in the sequence.
