Design History Enhancements

MicroStation V8 2004 Edition includes configuration variables that affect the behavior of Design History tools.

New Design History configuration variables include:

• MS_DESIGN_HISTORY_COLORS — specifies the colors to use when identifying changed elements.

• MS_DESIGN_HISTORY_COMMIT_ON_CLOSE — specifies whether changes are committed to Design History before the file is closed (File > Close).

• MS_DESIGN_HISTORY_COMMIT_ON_SAVE — specifies whether changes are committed to Design History before the file is saved (File > Save).

• MS_DESIGN_HISTORY_OWNERSHIP_WARNING — specifies whether you are prompted to confirm that you will take ownership of all uncommitted changes from another user.

• MS_DESIGN_HISTORY_REVISION_NUMBER_FORMAT — controls the format of revision numbers.
