Load Displayable Attributes

Use it!

Used to load displayable attribute text node with database attributes. If the database has been changed, this tool can be used to refresh the text in a displayable attribute text node. This tool has a Use Fence setting for fence operations.

• The SQL SELECT statement for the displayable attribute table defined in the sqldas column of the displayable attribute table determines the list of columns that are loaded. This is assuming that forms is set to None. If no SELECT statement is defined, SELECT * is used.

1. Select the Load Displayable Attributes tool.


2. Identify the text node.


3. Accept the text node.

1. Place a fence around the area of the text nodes.


2. Select the Load Displayable Attributes tool.


3. Verify the Use Fence toggle is checked in the Tool Settings.


4. Accept the fence contents.

Key-in: LOAD DA

Many MicroStation fonts are proportionally spaced, which can mean that columns in a screen form will not line up correctly when the form is converted to text elements in the design file. For this reason, use of a fixed width font, such as font 3, is recommended to preserve column spacing.
