SET PARSEALL

Used to toggle the parsing of Key-in Window input in response to tool-specific prompts in the key-in area. These prompts, such as “TEXT:”, are displayed by MicroStation only when tools are selected with key-ins. For example, if you select the Place Text tool by keying in PLACE TEXT, it is useful to turn parsing on to change text settings.

To turn parsing off

1. Key in SET PARSEALL OFF.
   All key-ins in response to tool-specific prompts are not parsed to determine whether they are MicroStation key-ins.

1. Key in SET PARSEALL ON.
   All key-ins in response to tool-specific prompts except those beginning with a “ ` ” are parsed to determine whether they are true MicroStation key-ins. The “ ` ” character overrides parsing to let true MicroStation key-ins be used in response to tool-specific prompts.

The user preference Start in Parse All Mode controls whether MicroStation is loaded with parsing turned on or off (from the Workspace Menu, choose Preferences and select the Input Category).
