Look and Feel

Consists of controls that are used to set preferences for the appearance and location of user interface elements.

Single Click

Controls how tools are selected with a single click (press) of the Data button. Options are Locked and Single-shot. Default is Locked.

Default Tool

Sets the tool that is automatically selected upon completion of a one-time function. Options are None, Selection, or PowerSelector. Default is Selection.

Highlight

Sets the color with which tools are highlighted to indicate locked selection. Options are Black, Gray, or Color. Default is Gray.

Layout

Affects the size of tool boxes. Options are Narrow, Regular, or Wide. Default is Regular

Tool Size

Selects the size of display of the tool palettes. Options are small or large. Default is small.

Dialog Font

Sets the text size, in points, in dialog boxes. This also affects the size of view border icons. Options are 10, 12, 14, 18, or 24 pt. The default is 12 pt.

Auto-Focus Tool Settings Window

If on, the input focus automatically moves to the Tool Settings window when a tool with settings is selected. Default is on.

Borderless Icons

If on (the default), the icons for all tools except the selected tool are displayed without borders.

Colorize Only Highlighted Tools

If on, tool icons without borders are displayed in gray-scale. The default is off.

If Borderless Icons is off, the Colorize Only Highlighted Tools checkbox is disabled.

Tool Colors

Opens the Tool Colors dialog box, which is used to set the tool color scheme.

Use Windows File Open Dialogs

If on, native Windows file selection dialog boxes are used instead of the MicroStation file open dialog boxes.
