Used to name, save, attach, and delete views and recall saved views. Saving a view allows you to quickly recall a view with specific attributes.
Opens when Saved Views is chosen from the Utilities menu or when View Save/Recall is selected from a view window control menu .
Saved Views dialog box | |
Contains controls that are used to attach a saved view to a view in the design. The list box shows the Name and Description of each view saved in the active design file. To attach or delete a view, you must first select it or double-click the entry in the list.
Create Saved View |
Opens the Save View dialog box, which is used to name and describe the view you are saving. |
Edit Saved View Properties |
Opens the Edit Properties dialog box, which is used to change the name and description of the saved view you selected from the list box. |
Delete Saved View |
Deletes the selected saved view. |
Import Saved View |
Opens the Open File dialog box, which is used to select the file whose saved views you want to import into your file. Once a file has been selected, the Import Saved Views dialog box opens, which is used to import saved views from another file. If no saved views are found on import, an error displays in the Status Bar. |
Allows you to select the view to which you want the attributes applied.
Sets the saved view's name. The name is limited to 511 characters; alphabetic and numeric characters and the “$”, “.”, and “_” characters are valid. Lowercase characters are interpreted as uppercase. Mixed case is preserved, but searches are case sensitive.
Using names that take advantage of the new limits and character sets will make exporting to previous versions more difficult. Either names will be truncated or a remapping utility will be required. |
Sets the saved view's optional description.
Sets the view to which the selected saved view is attached when the Attach button is clicked.
Closes the Saved Views dialog box without creating and saving the saved view.
Applies the saved view and saves the chosen saved view with the specified Name and Description.
