Preview Settings dialog box

Contains settings that control the preview of animated sequences.

Preview Settings dialog box

Clear View Between Frames

If on, the view is cleared between preview frames. If the view is not cleared, all of the preview frames are overlaid.

This can be useful for determining the range of motion for a sequence.

Loop

If on, the preview is repeated until you Reset.

Preprocess Frames

If on, all the frames are rendered and stored in memory before the preview begins. This can significantly speed up the preview but requires a substantial amount of memory for sequences with many frames or complex geometry.

Limit Curve Stroking

If on, the stroking of curves is limited during preview. This gives curve geometry a coarse, jagged look but can speed previewing substantially.

Animated Elements

If on, animated elements are previewed.

Static Elements

If on, static (unanimated) elements are previewed.

Cameras

If on, a cone is displayed for the camera position at each frame so that the camera motion can be more accurately previewed.

All Views

If on, the preview is displayed in all views.

Skip Frames

Sets the number of frames to skip between each previewed frame. The default is zero. Setting this to a value greater than zero is useful for producing a quick preview.
