Movies window

Used to play back an animated sequence. Opens when Utilities > Image > Movies is chosen.

Stop (||) button

Stops playback of a sequence.

Play (>) button

Plays back the loaded sequence.

File menu > Load…

Opens the Load Movie dialog box, which is used to load a sequence. Its controls are analogous to those in the Open dialog box (see Open…).

When a sequence is loaded, the Movies window is resized to accommodate the sequence at its specified resolution.

File menu > Preview…

Opens the Preview Movie dialog box, which is used to preview a sequence. Its controls are analogous to those in the Open dialog box (see Open…).

The Movies window is resized to display the preview image at its specified resolution.

File menu > Save As…

Opens the Save Movie As dialog box, which is used to save changes to the current sequence. Its controls are analogous to those in the Save Image dialog box (see Image > Save…) and the Save As dialog box (see Save As…).

File menu > Exit

Closes the Movies dialog box.

Edit menu > Delete Frame

Deletes the current frame.

Edit menu > Insert Frame…

Opens the Insert Frame dialog box, which is used to insert a frame in the current sequence. Its controls are analogous to those in the Open dialog box (see Open…).

Edit menu > Insert Sequence…

Opens the Open Sequence dialog box, which is used to insert another sequence in the current sequence. Its controls are analogous to those in the Open dialog box (see Open…).

Settings menu > Playback

Opens the Movie Playback Settings dialog box, which is used to adjust settings that affect movie playback.

Settings menu > Editing

Opens the Movie Edit Settings settings box, which is used to adjust settings that affect movie editing.
