Locks

Consists of controls that are also available in the Locks dialog box.

Text Node (Lock)

If on, newly placed text is attached to empty text nodes, and you cannot place text if there aren't any empty text nodes.

Key-in: LOCK TEXTNODE [OFF | ON | TOGGLE]

Level Lock

If on, you can select elements only on the Active Level; you cannot manipulate elements that are not on the Active Level.

Key-in: LOCK LEVEL [OFF | ON | TOGGLE]

Fence contents and graphic group manipulations ignore Level Lock.

Graphic Group (Lock)

If on, any manipulation performed on one member of a graphic group is automatically performed on all members.

If off, the member elements of a graphic group can be manipulated individually.

Key-in: LOCK GGROUP [OFF | ON | TOGGLE]

Boresite (Lock)

(3D only) If on, you can select or snap to elements at any depth in the view cube.

If off, you can select (with a data point) only those elements that are at or very near the Active Depth. Still you can snap to elements at any depth.

Key-in: LOCK BORESITE [OFF | ON | TOGGLE]

ACS Plane (Lock)

(3D only) If on, each data point is forced to lie on the Active ACS's xy plane (z=0). Still you can snap to elements at any depth.

The Active ACS is set in the Auxiliary Coordinates System dialog box, which is opened by choosing Auxiliary Coordinates from the Utilities menu.

Key-in: LOCK ACS [OFF | ON | TOGGLE]
