Certificates dialog box

Used to select from a list of valid certificates to protect a file. Only unexpired certificates with private keys can be selected. MicroStation uses the selected certificate to access the signer's private key when creating the signature. MicroStation saves a copy of the certificate with the signature in order to identify the signer and to carry the public key needed to verify the signature later.

Certificates dialog box

Issued To

Name of the person to whom the certificate is issued.

Issued By

Organization that issued the certificate.

Expiration

Date the certificate expires.

View

Opens the Certificates dialog box (Start > Settings > Control Panel > Internet Options > Contents > Certificates > View) displaying information pertaining to the Certificate.

OK

Accepts the certificate and closes the dialog box.

Cancel

Closes the dialog box with out accepting the certificate.
