Used to resymbolize printer output, control order of element printing and perform text string substitutions by defining/modifying a Pen Table.
Opens when PenTable > Edit is chosen from the Print dialog box (File menu > Print), or when PenTable > New is chosen and you type the name of a new pen table and click OK in the Create Pen Table file dialog box.

Contains a list of section names, defining the order in which sections are processed. When you edit a new Pen Table, MicroStation automatically inserts a single section called NEW. You can rename this section, or delete and insert one or more sections using the Edit menu.
Interchanges a selected name in the Sections list box with the name immediately below it. (assuming the selected name is not at the bottom of the list box).

Defines how cells are to be evaluated. If on, each cell element is evaluated against the Element Selection Criteria. If off, only the cell header is evaluated against the element selection criteria, and if a match occurs, the defined element output action applies to each element of the cell.
Opens the Text Substitutions dialog box, which is used to generate substitution string pairs; each pair consists of an Actual string and a Replacement string.

Sets the symbology attributed to elements for evaluation purposes:
Opens the Pen Table - Map Design Colors to Output Pen Symbology dialog box, which is used to apply multiple output color and width symbology to different parts of the same element, based on the component colors.
Opens the Pen Table - Map Design Weights to Output Width dialog box, which is used to specify print output weights for each of the 32 weight MicroStation values.
Opens the Create Pen Table File dialog box, a standard MicroStation new file designation dialog box, used to name a new (blank) Pen Table file. When OK is clicked in the Create Pen Table File dialog box, a single entry, NEW, appears in the Processing Order list box (other entries, if present, are deleted).
Opens the Select Pen Table File dialog box, a standard MicroStation file open dialog box, used to open an existing Pen Table file.
Saves the active Pen Table file.
Opens the Create Pen Table File dialog box, a standard MicroStation file dialog box, used to save the active Pen Table file to a new file.
Opens the Import AutoCAD plot style table dialog box, which lets you select a CTB or STB file to import.
Lets you export a CTB file. See Pen Maps for more inormation.
Unloads the whole Pen Table application, including the active Pen Table file, and closes the Modify Pen Table dialog box. (To close the Modify Pen Table dialog box without unloading the Pen Table application, click the dialog box close button.)
Opens the Insert Section dialog box, used to name a new section, and when its OK button is pressed, inserts the new section name in the Processing Order list box, above the section highlighted in the list box.
