Import > IGES

Opens the Import IGES dialog box, a standard file selection dialog box, which is used to open an IGES file. By default, List Files of Type is set to “*.igs.” Except as noted, the controls in this dialog box are analogous to those in the Open dialog box.

Clicking OK in the Import IGES dialog box opens the Import IGES File dialog box, which is used to adjust import settings before opening the drawing file.

To directly open an IGES file, use the Open dialog box, which is opened by choosing Open from the File menu.
