When saving a DGN file to DWG, you can convert empty enter data fields within text to space characters (“ “) by turning on the Convert Empty Enter Data Fields to Spaces option (Save As DWG/DXF Options dialog box, General tab, Advanced category). If this option is off, enter data fields are converted to underscore characters (“_”).
