AutoCAD Overlay Type of Reference Attachment
In MicroStation, you create an overlay-type of file attachment by selecting the Ignore Attachment when Live Nesting setting in the Attachment Settings dialog box.
MicroStation allows close control of reference file nesting, including options for setting nest depth, no nesting, and an overlay equivalent. These settings allow you to precisely select the data that is displayed when referenced files are nested, sometimes several levels deep.
If this drawing file is attached to another file as a reference and thus becomes a child rather than a parent file, the overlay will not be displayed. |
There is also an option for creating overlays when saving files in DWG format.
